e-suffering (day)

Today, the internet at my office had failed, so everyone in my Department cannot work especially the person who has a work depend on the intra/inter net. The cases that makes we cannot work almost all day because all the work is storing in the server (as my office try to be paperless organization) So we cannot do anything when the server is down. I tries to asked everyone that what can I do for them? I end up to helped someone type the document that was very urgent, but it stored in the server.

I phoned to ICT centre for asked them about the problem, but I didn’t get the information enough. However I am sure that today is disaster’s day again. This incident is not a first time since for a few weeks ago, the internet had down for the five hours.

When I finished every work, I swap to played a game, read the book, walked around Department and sleep, but don’t have any clue about the internet and how to work when I don’t have internet? Until 3 pm everything return to normal and ICT had an announcement that it was because some hardware was defected.

I guess today is a good lesson for ICT centre about the security of the data and are we lean on the technology too much or not? Technology has a very useful, but in opposite it’s may make a big problems if we lean on it too much.
